~Other: Yume has large, nasty looking scars at her shoulder blades, where her wings had been connected to her back.
Personality: Yume is fairly quiet most of the time, prefering to go rather unnoticed in a group situation. It's not that she's shy, but rather, she thinks a lot, and reflects on past situations and how they may affect the present and future. Despite this quietness, she's actually friendly, and prefers to surround herself with other people. This may be due to the fact that she likes to hear the opinions of those other people.
In battle, she's not the type to rush into things, perfering to fight when needed, but otherwise take in the battle style of her opponents. However, she is quick to react if a friend is in trouble... though after, she'll scold said friend for not thinking things through before diving in.
History: True birthplace and parents unknown, Yume was found and raised by a village of small, stocky cliff dwellers as a baby. On her fifth year, something incredible occurred. The child sprouted wings. It was a painful process that left her prone and whimpering for three days, but when they were fully out and her back had heal, she was back to her normal sweet self.
After the growth of her wings, she spent much time at the top of the cliffs, learning to use them. By watching birds and practicing, Yume could shakily fly around within a month. Within two months, she was gracefully flying around the canyons, carrying small items around for her family and friends, generally making deliveries that much quicker.
Eight years of time passed in a happy, carefree manner before everything changed. That was when the Heartless came. Yume's adopted people were not made for fighting, and so Yume took up arms to defend them from the shadowy creatures. However, no matter how hard she fought, the number of people living in the cliffs slowly lowered... be it by Heartless attack, or the cliff dwellers fleeing from their homes.
The young girl knew not what to do. Eventually, it was just her and her family remaining. They knew it was hopeless. Rather than allowing their strange daughter to keep fighting and putting herself in danger, her parents decided that it was best to pack up and leave as well.
For a few months, the family traveled, trecking over hard, rocky terrain. Yume spent most of her time in the air, keeping an eye out for food and danger. Her sword was at her side at all times. However, when they finally reached the next village over, they found it empty of life... with the exception of the Shadow creatures that had over run their own village.
Yume's reaction was one of horror. The next village was too far for her already fatigued and hungry family to reach. There was no where to go... and she couldn't beat all of those creatures on her own. It took too long for her sword to strike them down.
The small family retreated away from the cliffs as the creatures advanced on them. Before they got too far, though, one of the shadows lunged straight at Yume... only to be stopped by a strange blade piercing through it. It was coloured gold, silver, and platinum with a purple-blue wrapped hilt. The strangest part was the wing-like bit attached to the end of the blade. Yume looked up to see a dark-haired, male winged person holding another odd blade. He told her that the blade embedded in the ground was hers, and to take it.
The two fought together, but in the end, it was a loosing battle. No matter how many they killed, there was always more, and Yume quickly lost her family. With some urging from the male winged being, they took to the sky and escaped the Heartless, eventually leaving the world by way of Gummy Ship.
On the way off-world, Yume stayed silent while her complanion introduced himself, then told her what she was, where she came from, and why she had been abandoned as a baby. It turned out that her race was the very heart of their world... and the two of them were the last people remaining of the once glorious race. Everyone else had died from a horrible sickness. She and
